What is within walking distance
One of the pleasures of staying on the boulevard is how little you need a car. From the lobby:
- The Dubai Fountain — about 5 minutes. The shows run every half hour from early evening.
- Burj Khalifa and At the Top — about 7 minutes. Book the observation deck for sunset, ahead of time.
- Dubai Mall — about 8 minutes, through the air-conditioned link from the boulevard.
- Dubai Opera — about 10 minutes, along the lake.
- Souk Al Bahar — about 12 minutes, for dinner on the water facing the fountain.
Further afield
The Metro at Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station takes you to DIFC, Dubai Marina and the airport. The concierge can arrange a driver for the desert, Al Fahidi and the old souks, or Abu Dhabi for the day.
